Inclement Weather – Norfolk Division – Advisory re:Dockets Scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, 2018

Please be advised of the following with respect to matters scheduled to be heard before the Honorable Frank J. Santoro on Tuesday, January 9, 2018: if the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division, opens without delay on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, all hearings scheduled before the Honorable Frank J. Santoro will be convened as scheduled; if the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division, has a delayed opening on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, all hearings scheduled before the Honorable Frank J. Santoro will be convened at 11:00 a.m.; and if the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division, is closed on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, all hearings scheduled before the Honorable Frank J. Santoro will be rescheduled.

Due to inclement weather, all hearings scheduled before the Honorable Stephen C. St. John, Chief Judge on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Norfolk Division have been rescheduled to January 11, 2018 at the same time as originally scheduled.

Termination of North Carolina Petition Filings in the Eastern District of Virginia, Effective 8/19/2014

Because of abuses which have occurred, the prior accommodation afforded the bar of authorizing the filing of petitions for North Carolina residents who do not qualify to establish venue in the Eastern District of Virginia, is terminated effective August 19, 2014.
