The Newport News Division Courthouse will remain closed until possibly mid-February (the Court previously announced an expected reopening on January 30, 2023). Although the Newport News Courthouse will remain closed for an additional period of time, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is open.  Electronic filing remains unaffected and the Walter E. Hoffman U.S. Courthouse in Norfolk will be open for any necessary in-person transactions that cannot be conducted in Newport News.  The address for the Walter E.
