Hearings: Appearing Remotely

(Alexandria, Norfolk-Newport News, and Richmond)

Remote appearances are allowed at the discretion of the presiding judge, for good cause. Mere inconvenience does not constitute good cause.  Absent compelling circumstances, persons may submit a completed Remote Appearance Form to the email address for the presiding judge, not less than two (2) business days in advance of the scheduled hearing. If the Court has not acted on the request by the time of the hearing, the requester is expected to appear in person at the hearing.
