Due to continued problems resulting from burst sprinkler pipes, the Newport News Division Courthouse will remain closed from January 3-6, 2023.  Although the Newport News Courthouse will remain closed through Friday, January 6, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is open.  Electronic filing remains unaffected and the Walter E. Hoffman U.S. Courthouse in Norfolk will be open for any necessary in-person transactions that cannot be conducted in Newport News.  The address for the Walter E.
